NO!

So instead this month ask, 'How am I treating Ramadan this month?'

Are YOU for real?

You know what seriously gets to me? People who are aware that you exist, know what you are doing, in terms of your work, business, brands, workshops, you advertise and put yourself out there, they don't support your work, yet they 'steal' your workshop name and do a conference on it.

These are some Muslims in hijaabs and beards in today's world!

I mean, I'm a helper - I help - that's who I am by default - as well as creative.

I have a workshop which is active since June 2013, it's re-running this year and I have an ebook out on the same topic - and these specific people are fully aware of it, will not support my work and have decided to go ahead and do a conference on that name (with a different tag line - c'mon, they couldn't be THAT obvious now, could they?!).

Like, seriously, are you for real?

I take a few weeks off from social media (3 weeks) to recuperate and plan for 2014 ahead an BOOM they think it's OK to cash in on my creativity? 

What state has this Ummah got itself into that we can't support each other and yet we 'steal' ideas and names just because they have a bigger following on social media and will get more attendees.

Made me extremely upset over the weekend and sick to the stomach.

And writing about it right now is still making me a little angry and upset - but I have worked through my emotions and you know what let them!

You know why? Because my workshop tour is still going ahead, my ebook is still coming out and my networking dinner is still going ahead - insha'Allah.

Some Muslim younguns in their early 20's these days think that they are really clever and have seen the world - erm, nope, there's a long road ahead love!

God showed me what these people are up to, I'm working even harder and God will do justice.

I know you are my awesome follower and reader here - I appreciate you and respect you.

Listen, be yourself - yes take inspiration and motivation from my posts and my brands - and this blog is my very first online venture and brand (I have 11 active brands now alhamdulilah and more to come) and I know how hard it is to get started and get noticed for your work - I've been there since 2008!

But taking someone's workshop or brand name - especially when it is actively out there is seriously not cool at all.

I mean I could take the approach and say; 'Oh, I'm flattered!' But, NO, I'm not - why? You know turBo - I'm all about justice and fairness and being real!

And if you need me for something or need my help - just ask - if i can help you i will - if i can't then i will direct you to someone else who can.

Be real - you have something great to offer the world - be original - you'll be respected for it and you'll succeed in this world and next!

Make it Happen - NOW!

So, we are in Day 6 of 2014 - how's it goin' so far?

OK, well, I'm not talking about resolutions and all that (if you have made some then I do hope they work our for you - I believe in YOU!) :)

I'm talking about; 'Enough of the talking and let's just make it happen - NOW!'

See, what happens is that (and of course I've been guilty of this, like totally!) we talk, talk and talk and not only tire out the person we are talking to or ourselves but we even tire out our angels writing on our shoulders.

*Sorry Angels!*

There is a time and place for talking and then there is a time and place for actually going ahead and making it happen!

So your challenge for 2014 (and I just come up with this challenge whilst writing this post right now - how cool is that?) and my challenge also - come on, we're in this together homies - is to stop talking (too much or excessively) and making it happen!

This 2014 make your dreams happen - make them reality - whatever your dreams are - health, work, biz, relationships, life, whatever - have a set time where you talk about them (to yourself, your angels your bestie) and then plan it all out (and yes God is the best of ALL planners - we must always keep tawakul in Him (swt) always) and then just go make it happen.

I for one am going to go make it happen - well, there's a lot to do before I leave planet Earth so - Bismillah-ExCel - and let's make it happen, NOW!

Islamic New Year - Muharram 1435 AH

Wishing YOU and YOUR loved ones a blessed, productive and successful year ahead :)

We don't usually 'celebrate' or 'wish' each other when it is the Islamic New Year - but why not?

I agree that our Beloved Prophet (pbuh) and his companions did not wish each other - and I'm not adding a new thing into our deen (before you go all crazy on me) - however in a world where our youth are confused and constantly told 'halaal/haraam' - we need to teach them about our deen - we need to teach them about the Islamic months and their significance. We need to relate to them.

In a world where our fellows humans are constantly harmed or tortured by fellow humans we need to spread some peace love and lots and lots of duas.

So my dua is that Allah (swt) showers His infinite mercy on each of us - puts barakah in our life, time and purifies our intentions and sincerity.

We have one life here on planet Earth and each moment is our only moment.

Make each moment count.

Aspire to inspire before we expire.

Live a life on purpose with purpose.

Do something great for yourself, your family, the Ummah of Rasool-Allah and the entire humanity.

Be Creative. Be Passionate. Be on Purpose.

Create your own Dream Team!

One of the injustices we can do to ourselves is not believing in ourselves and just always listening to others. And others may not always be our best supporters (even if we think they should!).

But, are we the best supporters for our loved ones who have dreams and goals they want to achieve? Hmm.

It's the first day of July - 6 months of this year 2013 already gone. Now is the time to have a quick look at those goals you set for the year. be realistic. Things happen. They are supposed to happen. I've completed some and some I am restarting this month (my studies - after a year break!).

We are a working progress. Let this be a reflection moment and let this be a trigger to get us focused again and back on track insha'Allah. 

Now would be a good time to look at our goals and achievements so far. 

Remember though, each moment is our only real moment - this moment is all we have and this moment could be the moment you decide to make some positive changes in your life!

Always keep the end in mind - Jannah al-Firdaus.

Path of Seeking Knowledge for Allah (swt)

1. Zuhud - Not in leaving material things alone, but for one's heart not to be attached to worldly matters. Renunciation - Leave excess matters (that which is beyond/without benefit). Strive to liv

e hadith of Prophet (pbuh) “From the excellence of a man's Islam is to leave that which does not concern him." Look at your day/week and what things are wasteful? leave it! Prioritise and leave most wasteful things first. Renounce that which doesn't benefit.

2. Knowledge - You need to know what you need to know. Know knowledge! Know the way of knowledge and purpose of knowledge. Purpose of knowledge - seeking closeness to Allah (swt). Pursue with purpose and benefit. Stages of seeking knowledge.

3. Tawakul - Has several aspects. Ignore what people say and focus on what benefits you. Remember Tawhid. You are weak and Allah fulfils all needs. Take means and having full tawakul in Allah. Must hang your heart to Allah. Attach heart to Allah. Striving yourself doesn't lead to success but Allah is the one who grants success - by taking the means. Serve with excellence knowing it’s only through Allah (swt). Will get many doubts but keep tawakul. Seek mentors who can advice. 

4. Certitude - Have complete trust. Prophet (pbuh) said; 'Allah has guaranteed paradise for three - one is seeker of knowledge'. Suspend those doubts. Follow the Sunnah and you will benefit in allsorts of ways. When reading book from scholars of past then have adab as though you are sitting in their presence. Have a point of connection with the Prophetic message. Attend gatherings of knowledge. Take online classes. What Allah and His Prophet have said is correct. Have conviction. Only speak with certainty and it will have impact.

These four above require nurturing.
