If you want a positive life then you have to check your mind first!

It all starts in the mind and that's why most of us suffer many times over in our life!

We may start making positive changes and we may even see the positive results but we can easily self-sabotage again if we don't check our mind.

As i always say - heal your mind - heal your life! :)

This is how i will be flowing every day now because each moment is our only moment and we must make each moment count.

If we wake up alive then we have another chance to go after our dreams and make them happen now.

See, i don't believe in haters either! 

Listen, confidence comes from within - when you finally accept who you are and work on making yourself a better person each day then you too will be all that and a bag of chips! And ladies - hating on other ladies just ain't cool. 

You really need to work on you and focus on your skills, abilities and talents because you too are gorgeous and awesome and an asset to the world. 

But you'll only find it within you when you finally quit hating on others and focus on YOU!

Because THIS moment is all we have right now!

A year from today is not guaranteed for any of us and even if it is and you reach it will you be happy that you didn't do what you always wanted to?

The reason we don't make our dreams a reality is because we are scared and afraid - scared and afraid of failure, rejection and made fun of. I know, because i have been there and had i stayed there then today i would not be an entrepreneur with 12 current and active brands!

Yes, i have a lot to learn and a way to go before i make my first million however i can sleep happily each night knowing that i am doing what i love.

And so can you...if you begin right now! :)

In a world where hate is spread like fire and people are misguided because they are not willing to learn the truth for themselves you be the love and light that your're yearning to see in our world right now because together we can because God is with us and will help us as soon as we decide to help ourselves now. 

Be the hope you want to see in world right now! :)

It Gets Better!

...It has to get worse before it can get better! 

Why? 

Because therein lie life lessons and wisdom which will help us through our days. 

If it doesn't get worse we won't learn the lesson and we won't be ready to move on. 

So, don't count your tears - count your blessings. 

Let those tears comfort your soul and know that it will get better. 

Remember who created us? 

He's holding us and guiding us!

Really, the onus is on us - to learn the lesson and improve our live and tread the path upon the deen - the siratul mustaqeem - the straight path. 

We want Jannah al-Firdaus right? 

Let's work for it! :)

Think It! Talk It! Just Do It!

Sometimes we can just over-think things!

Sometimes we can talk about them forever. 

But if we want to make real and lasting positive changes in our life and if we want to get rid of those bad habits then we need to do more than think and talk. 

We need to act! 

You're doing it for yourself and your own life firstly - and then your loved ones (especially if it is something which also affects them too). 

Think it, talk about it but seriously take that first step and just go do it!. 

It is now or never.

Don't Say It - Just Do It!

When I was 18 years old and at college I studied a subject called 'A-Level General Studies'. 

In one of our assignments we had to write about our goals and ambitions and what we really want to do and be. 

I wrote; 'I want to be a writer'. 

After receiving the marked paper I looked at the comments section and the teacher wrote; 'Nadia, don't say you 'want to be' - just write!'.

Although I've been a writer and wrote my first little book at age 10, these were powerful words from my teacher.

I just remembered and thought share with y'all.

Moral? Don't say - Just Go Do It!

Each moment is a lesson and it is teaching us something vital which will help us. We may not realise it at the time, but rest assured that it''s vital for us.

Our life is made up by moments itself - so cherish the moments - even if you feel that you're in the darkest of places for it's through the darkness that we discover The Light.

Are YOU for real?

You know what seriously gets to me? People who are aware that you exist, know what you are doing, in terms of your work, business, brands, workshops, you advertise and put yourself out there, they don't support your work, yet they 'steal' your workshop name and do a conference on it.

These are some Muslims in hijaabs and beards in today's world!

I mean, I'm a helper - I help - that's who I am by default - as well as creative.

I have a workshop which is active since June 2013, it's re-running this year and I have an ebook out on the same topic - and these specific people are fully aware of it, will not support my work and have decided to go ahead and do a conference on that name (with a different tag line - c'mon, they couldn't be THAT obvious now, could they?!).

Like, seriously, are you for real?

I take a few weeks off from social media (3 weeks) to recuperate and plan for 2014 ahead an BOOM they think it's OK to cash in on my creativity? 

What state has this Ummah got itself into that we can't support each other and yet we 'steal' ideas and names just because they have a bigger following on social media and will get more attendees.

Made me extremely upset over the weekend and sick to the stomach.

And writing about it right now is still making me a little angry and upset - but I have worked through my emotions and you know what let them!

You know why? Because my workshop tour is still going ahead, my ebook is still coming out and my networking dinner is still going ahead - insha'Allah.

Some Muslim younguns in their early 20's these days think that they are really clever and have seen the world - erm, nope, there's a long road ahead love!

God showed me what these people are up to, I'm working even harder and God will do justice.

I know you are my awesome follower and reader here - I appreciate you and respect you.

Listen, be yourself - yes take inspiration and motivation from my posts and my brands - and this blog is my very first online venture and brand (I have 11 active brands now alhamdulilah and more to come) and I know how hard it is to get started and get noticed for your work - I've been there since 2008!

But taking someone's workshop or brand name - especially when it is actively out there is seriously not cool at all.

I mean I could take the approach and say; 'Oh, I'm flattered!' But, NO, I'm not - why? You know turBo - I'm all about justice and fairness and being real!

And if you need me for something or need my help - just ask - if i can help you i will - if i can't then i will direct you to someone else who can.

Be real - you have something great to offer the world - be original - you'll be respected for it and you'll succeed in this world and next!

Wow, subhan'Allah - 5 years ago today I took the bold and brave step of 'putting my words out to the world'.

I had been writing all my life - some for academic, some for pleasure but I was always afraid of others reading my words - because that would give them an access to my heart.

Today I have a successful personal development blog and numerous eBooks released and releasing.

I'm also writing for other sites and magazines and will do more of that in 2014.

Thank you God for helping me take this first step and giving me the courage to express myself to the world - as with you by my side I fear no more - walhamdulilah! :)

To all of you who have visited and read my bog from across the globe - thank you and God bless y'all.

You see, the thing is that, opportunities are ALWAYS there - right in front of us. But we being we - humans - we spend so much time figuring out why one thing didn't work out the way we wanted it to work out (*GUILTY*) that we honestly forget to see that other great and better opportunities are right there!

Ahaan, RIGHT THERE!

So, listen, don't worry so much if one thing hasn't gone the way you wanted it because honestly God has something better for you - and yes I've been there also - so this serves as a good reminder for oneself also!

Please don't miss your train because if you wallow so much in your 'Whys?!' then you'll be left behind whilst everyone has reached their destination.

Everyday there is a new lesson and something new for us to learn. Everyday we have an opportunity to grown and become the better version of ourselves from yesterday.

Let's not miss this opportunity because once it's gone it may never return.
