Be determined and you'll be satisfied!

How do you wake up each day and how do you go to bed each night?

This is how i will be flowing every day now because each moment is our only moment and we must make each moment count.

If we wake up alive then we have another chance to go after our dreams and make them happen now.

I'm on it - are YOU? :)

Have you suffered from Satan's whispering?

You're not alone if you have!!!

Have you ever suffered from waswas?

Maybe in your daily life or worst still in your ibaadah?

I have...and it's painful and exhausting...especially the repeating of wudu and prayer.

I thought i was alone and i didn't want to speak to anyone about it except my coach (because i really felt stupid!) and then i was recommended a book written by a brother who himself suffered from waswas for years and said enough is enough!

He researched and found a cure for himself and healed and now he is on mission to help YOU heal too.

I have read the book and applied it and it works.

I highly recommend you grab a copy of this book now as it will help you too insha'Allah.

It doesn't matter if you have suffered recently or years - this book will help you as it contains guidance from Qur'an and Sunnah.

The book also contains real life case studies so you will know you're not alone.

My Baby has Returned Home

On Friday 24th April 2015 my Mano returned back home - to Allah!

1 week ago today my life changed forever....

...It was her last night with me here in our room. She spent the night tossing and turning until i jumped up as i heard her throwing up. I helped her off the bed. She went to drink water and then spent the next few hours lying on the floor, in the bedroom, outside the bedroom, in the bathroom. She was so patient with severe pain subhan'Allah and i was so tired.

I just sat there watching her and stroking her and talking to her. She would only respond when i said, 'You'll be OK baby - Allah-Ji will make you better now' and i prayed on her and blew on her and told her i loved her too much like i always did. But she made sure not to disturb me and let me sleep. She didn't bug me like usual. Of course i didn't sleep. I just dosed off and then jumped up after every half hour to see where she was. The time was going too slow!

7am and i couldn't handle her pain anymore - even though she said nothing. I rang the vets and the message said, 'Open at 8.30am'. By Allah that 7 til 8.30am was an eternity. I knew it was an emergency for her now. I needed her to get on the drip so she could start getting her energy back and then start eating. I never realised these moments were my last moments with her. I was ready and dressed before 8.30am. Yes me!

She went for her last toilet break and she looked so weak - all within 3 days. She stumbled but made it to her outdoor toilet and back to her spot where she sat. She cried when i took her to the vets - i thought i was leaving her in for a few days to get better so i told Mimey (my nephew) to say bye to her just as he was about to leave for University and told mum to tell her she'll be OK. Never realised it would be her final goodbyes.

At the vets i told them to make sure to give her the lowest dose for sedation as she was already weak. I signed the forms and turned to walk away. She cried and called me but i didn't look back as she would cry more. I knew she was in safe hands. I was hopeful.

I stayed awake last night crying. The early hours would have been her toilet break time and then we would have listened to the birdies together doing dhikr and she would have sat by me as i prayed fajr, read duas and Qur'an and did hifz. Then she would curl up by me and sleep.

It was 11.15ish-am i was back home now and waiting for the call for her test results so we could start treatment and then this call came - 'I'm afraid i have bad news for you Ms Yunis - Mano didn't make it - she died - her results showed advanced kidney failure and were off the charts on our computer - we would have advised you to put her to sleep anyway. She died peacefully'.

And that was that...the end!

She gave me 17 years of unconditional and pure love that no human has given me (and many humans will never understand) and no human ever will because humans are selfish and always about themselves.

She was with me through thick and thin and the only one who ever saw my tears in open. Together we would talk to Allah-Ji. I was never lonely without her. And now i have to stay in this duniya alone til my time is up.

She used to have the usual health challenges and last May 2014 she had an infection and that's when they said she could have pancreatitis but alhamdulilah all was clear and she healed.

Two Friday's ago i came back from my course and she was upset. She was going toilet but was having challenges - i thought it was constipation and thought she would be ok. But then 5 days later i saw brown/red in her urine. I took her to the vets and they gave her antibiotic injections and pain injection and gave me some meds to take home to start giving her the night after. But from that point she stopped eating and just drank water until last Friday when she was just too weak and in pain and i needed her to get some more treatment so i could give her meds.

Over the last year we became even more close.

Every night whilst i would sleep and dream she would be with me there too.

We cuddled and talked and had lots of fun.

Her friends popped around and sat by her and i let them hoping that she would heal. They don't come round no more...

I am happy she went peacefully and now she is in heaven with my bestest friend - my Allah-ji.

My nieces and nephews miss her and my elderly parents miss her.

I call her and have invisible chats with her all day long and night.

She was gifted to me by my elder brother in July 1998 - ten days after my big Mano died of a car accident with internal bleeding. Big Mano was 5 years old. My family wanted to stop my tears and gifted me with an 8 week old kitten called 'Rosie' - i changed her name to Mano!

I've had cats all my life - even before i was born my mum would have cats around her and the day i was born we were gifted with a cat.

I love cats - yes you can call me Crazy Cat turBo lol.

Alhamdulilah i have openly cried and talked about my Mano and many have been there listening and helping me heal. I am healing. It's going to take time. I've entered a new phase in my life - it's very scary. I had my whole year planned ahead for biz and studies. I'm scared to move forward. I feel a little guilty too as i feel i'm leaving my Mano behind. I've had all sorts of emotions for the last 8 days. I have allowed it. I've never been so open about my emotions or even cried in front of anyone. Yes i do cry - a lot - alone with my Mano and my Allah-ji. My family have also realised and have helped me through this a lot and just let me talk about her. I've had a life time of emotional, psychological and physical challenges in terms of illness and so i decided this time to let myself be more open.

I also want to thank everyone who has helped me and i realised that they too have had similar stories and i believe they too are healing - and i want to say to you, 'Me and Mano are holding space for you - if you have lost your furbaby and need to heal then we are here for you - as you have been here for us!

1 week ago today it was Nadia & Mano. Now it's just Nadia....I took her in alive and brought her back sleeping forever. Now i'm waiting for my turn so i can meet her again...

Answer His Call Today!

Many a times when we don't hear from our loved ones we hurt deep inside and think a billion things. Many a times we get so busy that we 'forget' to check in on our loved ones.

This is how we are with the creation - but what about the Creator?

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "My Lord says, 'If My slave comes nearer to me for a span, I go nearer to him for a cubit; and if he comes nearer to Me for a cubit, I go nearer to him for the span of outstretched arms; and if he comes to Me walking, I go to him running.' " Bukhari Vol. 9 : No. 627

Yet we ignore our Rabb on a daily - we neglect our Ibaadah, we neglect our Salah, our Qur'an - we get caught up in the daily glitz and glam and then we say we are lonely, empty and heart broken.

If we don't call our loved ones and then we meet them we know we're in for some serious whooping!

But what about our Rabb? He is waiting to answer us - will YOU make that all important call to Him today? Because if we return to Him today how will we face Him?

Cherish...

...the Gifts God bestows upon us. Everything is a Gift!

He (swt) gives and He (swt) can take - so appreciate everything - family and friends - heart, body, soul, organs - life itself is a gift from our Rabb.

As you lay to sleep, or wake up for the morning, or are working through early afternoon or relaxing in the evening - wherever you are in the world reading this - just stop, close your eyes, take a deep breath and say 'Alhamdulilah Ala Kulli Haal' - Thank You Allah for everything - for Allah asks us in Surah Rahman;

'Which Of Your Lords Favours Will You Deny?'

Let's not deny our Rabb and His favours upon us and always have an attitude of gratitude! :) ♥

Think It! Talk It! Just Do It!

Sometimes we can just over-think things!

Sometimes we can talk about them forever.

But if we want to make real and lasting positive changes in our life and if we want to get rid of those bad habits then we need to do more than think and talk.

We need to act!

You're doing it for yourself and your own life firstly - and then your loved ones (especially if it is something which also affects them too).

Think it, talk about it but seriously take that first step and just go do it!.

It is now or never.

What's stopping you?

Here's to your best December now and here's to your best life and best akhirah insha'Allah!

Don't be afraid - you're not alone!

We all want to try new things and learn new skills but sometimes when we take that first step we stop ourselves!

Why?

It's OK to fall - how else will we learn and how else will we improve if we don't allow or accept that we will fall?

Courage is not the absence of fear - its actually fear which gives us courage!

"Never be afraid to try something new. Remember, amateurs built the ark, professionals built the Titanic." (Anon)

Exactly!

And with Allah by YOUR side 24/7 you have nothing to be afraid of - so spread your wings and fly and just go for it! :)

Believe Whatever You Want!

This post is real important right now because you'll have an instant personal breakthrough moment - now or later - promise! :)

When we spend time alone and silence our thoughts and reconnect with God - He (swt) will give us the messages that we need to hear which will give us complete clarity in our life and ways to move forward.

Here's what I needed today - and yes, sometimes we hear/read these many times however God always knows when the right time is for us to learn the lesson and when we really need it the most.

This is the message I heard today and it had an instant and profound effect on my soul as right now I needed it the most (I'm just like you lot and need daily reminders too!)

"Believe whatever you want about yourself, about people around you and the world you live in because what you believe is the reality you create for yourself..."

I hope this helps now! :)

Happy 5th Birthday turBo flow!

Wow, subhan'Allah - 5 years ago today I took the bold and brave step of 'putting my words out to the world'.

I had been writing all my life - some for academic, some for pleasure but I was always afraid of others reading my words - because that would give them an access to my heart.

Today I have a successful personal development blog and numerous eBooks released and releasing.

I'm also writing for other sites and magazines and will do more of that in 2014.

Thank you God for helping me take this first step and giving me the courage to express myself to the world - as with you by my side I fear no more - walhamdulilah! :)

To all of you who have visited and read my bog from across the globe - thank you and God bless y'all.

Here is my very first post I wrote 5 years ago - enjoy it and go eat some cake! :D

Love always and forever - Nadia aka 'turBo flow'

Path of Seeking Knowledge for Allah (swt)

1. Zuhud - Not in leaving material things alone, but for one's heart not to be attached to worldly matters. Renunciation - Leave excess matters (that which is beyond/without benefit). Strive to liv
e hadith of Prophet (pbuh) “From the excellence of a man's Islam is to leave that which does not concern him." Look at your day/week and what things are wasteful? leave it! Prioritise and leave most wasteful things first. Renounce that which doesn't benefit.

2. Knowledge - You need to know what you need to know. Know knowledge! Know the way of knowledge and purpose of knowledge. Purpose of knowledge - seeking closeness to Allah (swt). Pursue with purpose and benefit. Stages of seeking knowledge.

3. Tawakul - Has several aspects. Ignore what people say and focus on what benefits you. Remember Tawhid. You are weak and Allah fulfils all needs. Take means and having full tawakul in Allah. Must hang your heart to Allah. Attach heart to Allah. Striving yourself doesn't lead to success but Allah is the one who grants success - by taking the means. Serve with excellence knowing it’s only through Allah (swt). Will get many doubts but keep tawakul. Seek mentors who can advice.

4. Certitude - Have complete trust. Prophet (pbuh) said; 'Allah has guaranteed paradise for three - one is seeker of knowledge'. Suspend those doubts. Follow the Sunnah and you will benefit in allsorts of ways. When reading book from scholars of past then have adab as though you are sitting in their presence. Have a point of connection with the Prophetic message. Attend gatherings of knowledge. Take online classes. What Allah and His Prophet have said is correct. Have conviction. Only speak with certainty and it will have impact.

These four above require nurturing.

{Mentioned by Abu Madyan and elaborated by the Mashaykh at the Assembly Live – Sunday 18th November 2012.}

(Notes i took whilst watching the assembly and insha'Allah they are correct and Allah knows best!).

Be Creative!

...Be Creative! Look for creative ways to make your days the best and full of light and full of colour! All the answers you seek are within you. Work on your relationship with God and He (swt) will fix the rest! Work on your ibaadah (worship), your Prayers and your Qur'an. Read it, study it, ponder it, reflect upon it - daily.

What we lack - as a human race (amongst many things) is creativity!

We need to bring back creativity into our lives.

Remember when we were younger? Exactly!

No, You don't have to pull out your lego set from way back when but just try and get into the right brain now and then - especially if you're left brain logical.

Try it!

Add some creativity into your life and let me know how you get gone insha'Allah! :)

Your Heart Is Precious...

...So look after it and don't abuse it or allow it to be abused.

Hand you heart over to Allah and He (swt) will guide you and inspire you to all the answers to your questions.

When you hand your heart over to the One who gave it life - He (swt) will give life to all your dreams, wishes and hopes.

He who has no one has Allah and he who has Allah has everything.

Look after YOUR heart - it's precious and YOU are precious! :)

Make A Dua...

...This is just a short reminder, for myself firstly and foremostly and then all of you, my turBo flow fam, that please do not underestimate the power of dua.

Dua - made sincerely - can do incredible and powerful things.

When Allah (swt) accepts our duas we see miracles before our eyes.

So much happens daily - not only in our own lives but also across the globe - so please keep everyone in your duas - for we don't know whose dua Allah may accept and things can change positively for someone.

Please make dua for everyone everywhere - and may the One answering your duas for others give you from His Mercy that which you could not even imagine - ameen! :)
